Thesis in integrated membrane systems in treatment of contaminated water from gas power plants

The faculty of engineering at University of Baghdad witnessed the discussion of Ph.D. thesis entitled “integrated membrane systems in the treatment of contaminated water from gas power plants using “Taguchi statistical method” submitted by the student Mohammed Kamel al-Ameri. This study aims at studying the feasibility of membrane separation systems (ultrafiltration, microfiltration and reverse osmosis) in the treatment of water contaminated with oil and fuel at Al-Qudis power station in Eastern Baghdad. The study concluded that the flow increases with the increase in pressure and temperature and it decrease with the increase of oil concentration and TDS for all processes.
