Dr. Haydar Karim Hassan from the college of veterinary at University of Baghdad and Assistant Prof. Dr. Najwa Shihab Ahmed from Nahrain University and Ayman Khajik from Mustansiriyah University got a patent for their joint research entitled (registration of Iraqi Awasi sheep breed in NCBI gene bank) where the researchers contributed in this sheep registration which became the official reference for Iraqi and foreign researchers as well as the development of future studies in the areas of veterinary medicine and agriculture.
