Center of urban and regional planning for postgraduate studies at University of Baghdad witnessed the discussion of doctoral student’s thesis submitted by “Fadha Maurouf Mahmoud” entitled (assessment and development of residential complexes from the perspective of schematic integration and design). The research included linking urban planning bases with its social, economic, environmental, physical fields, its identity in public sphere, quality mobility, adaptation and diversity to reach the desired integration. This study shed light on the importance of creating the competitive places through following an empirical and analytical approach when assessing a chosen residential complex such as Salihia residential complex. At the end of the debate the researcher was awarded the PhD degree.
