Dr. Salim Kati Ali  head of department of crisis studies at Center for strategic and international studies, University of Baghdad publish a research paper entitled ” US strategic perception of energy security” at Future Center for strategic studies. Dr. Salim stated in his paper that the topic of energy is one of the most important issues that will affect the future world powers map in general since the ability of any world power to provide energy for its plants at present and future would determine the size of its seat of power on the world stage, therefore the concept of energy security became one of the security concepts that are beginning to form and take its place among other many variables after cold war era.
