Flamingo bird in a symposium at the natural history museum

Natural History Museum at University of Baghdad held an emergency symposium entitled (Flamingo bird protection in our marshes and its importance in environmentally sustainable development) under the slogan (Together to stop the overfishing Flamenco birds) in the presence of director of the center Assistant Prof. Dr. Amer Mutib Hussein and head of the Iraqi assembly of birds, Waqas Saad Zaian and several members of the association and a group of researchers from the ministries of health and environment, science and technology and other interested researchers from the faculty of agriculture at University of Baghdad. The symposium included a number of papers the dealt with the life of Flamingo birds, migration, ecosystems and the importance of protecting them in the marshes. The symposium focused on the topic of overfishing in Iraqi marshes in conjunction with the registration of the Iraqi marshes on the World Heritage List that would negatively affect the reputation of the country since this bird increases the beauty and splendor of our marshes and attracts indoor and outdoor tourism.
