The center for strategic and international studies at the university of Baghdad held a scientific session on brainstorming entitled “Henry Kissinger and writing the international order: reflections on nations and history tracks – readings and analysis”, with the participation of a number of instructors and researchers at the center. Discussion dealt with the achievements of American policy makers of the twentieth century, as well as some historical and political analysis of American foreign policy and the future prospects for the current century. Some interventions and dialogues have been presented by the attendees to access new vision. A workshop was planned on America’s home and foreign policy in the Middle East for the benefit of the Iraqi state towards reaching at a change in Arab mentality when dealing with others through a pragmatic vision since it became possible that Russia would emerge once again as a great power into the world political arena so that not to remain isolated, despite the attempts by the West and America to contain and weaken it so that to adopt of the principle of balance of power.
