Knauf dry construction center opens first session at university of Baghdad

  Knauf training center for dry construction opened its first session at Baghdad University in the presence of a number of professors and engineers from inside and outside the university. The director of department of engineering affairs at the university, prof. Dr. Ismail Sedki Razuki noted that this session is the first held by the center in the field of dry construction systems, for five days at the average of eight hours per day, adding that a dozen engineers from the engineering staff at Baghdad University participated in this session, as well as ten engineers from the ministry of housing and construction and a number of teaching staff from the central technical university and professors from the institute of technology. For his part, the director of the training center in Baghdad, prof. Haitham Hadi delivered a lecture explaining the goal of the session to familiarize participants with basic skills and information on Knauf company products and its dry construction systems, the main material used so that to create Iraqi cadre which would become the nucleus for training engineers, workers and students. He stated that these courses will provide the basics of dry constrruction theoretically and scientifically in order to transfer this global expertise to Iraq that can be utilized from inthe development and construction process in the country.
