Baghdad university holds a workshop entitled “first e-learning” in 2015

Under the auspices of the president of the university of Baghdad, Alaa Abdul Hussein Abdul Rasul and under the slogan (the creative instructor is the basis of education in the successful educational institution), Ibn Sina center for e-learning held a workshop on e-learning and educational platforms in Iraqi universities attended by a number of academics and members of Iraqi and international companies in Al-Khwarizmi college of engineering at the university of Baghdad in coordination with the computer center, the institute of informatics for graduate studies at the university of information technology and communications and the university of Islamic sciences. The workshop started with lectures by the participating committee that dealt with knowledge society, the economics of electronic knowledge and modern guidance in e-learning, added to that the experience of the ministry of education through introducing e-learning in government schools in Iraq adopted by (Green Valley) school which provides student access to lecture more than one time, if not understood, moreover dispensing with tutoring and school bag. This is the first experiment in Iraq and the ministry of education aims to activate it for all schools in future. This method enhances using modern communication and search mechanisms through electronic libraries and internet to deliver information to the learner in the shortest time and with less effort in addition to encouraged students, learners and amateur towards motor and mental creativity and gave the classroom a special taste.
