Symposium on the assortment of the current government and its government programme in the college of political sciences

  Deanship of the college of political sciences in cooperation with the cabinet held a symposium for introducing the government programme and the agreement reached at by the leaders of the political blocs to announce the formation of the current government. Spokesman of the prime minister, Dr. Saad al-Hadithi stated that the document signed between the leaders of the political blocs to form the current government and applying its programme that upon which Mr. prime minister was awarded the trust to form the government. Dr. Al-Hadithi added that this document also contains (20) items that form the main pillars of the current government such as: commitment to implement the constitution spontaneously, independence of the Iraqi judiciary and remove it from the political currents and masses, resolving the outstanding problems between the centre and the territoray through agreement, commitment of powers and resolving differences by following constitutional mechanisms for distributing oil wealth. Al-Hadithi said that one of the government’s priorities is to address the important files in the country such as (security, services, raising exports of crude oil). Dr. Abdul Jabbar Ahmad, dean of the college of political sciences said that the federal government should activate the role of professors and graduates of the college and benefit from their expertise and their energies in political affairs that concern the country. This was not the first symposium that hosts government officials for the purpose of discussing important files and the outstanding issues but it was preceded by a lot of symposiums and conferences that reached at successful recommendations in addressing many issues through the solutions discussed.
