Administrative assistant of the president of the university of Baghdad calls for promoting and developing women’s sports

  Administrative assistant of the president of the university of Baghdad, prof. Riadh Khalil khammas and director of student affairs and ratifications department, Dr. Hussein khudair Abdul Hussein discussed means of development of Iraqi sports in general and women’s sports in particular according to the international academic directions to raise the name of Iraq high in the global arena. This came during their visit to the corridors of college of physical education for women in Baghdad university that included an expanded meeting with the dean, Dr. Mawahib Hamid Al-Juburi, attended by assistant of dean for student affairs, Dr. Nihad Mohammed Alwan and Dr. Lisa Rustm. Many issues were discussed concerning the reality of the college in the past and its future strategy, reviewing of the achievements and difficulties faced by students and overcome, with a view for creating optimal conditions for the purpose of creating a scientific climate at the college for graduate students. Dr. Riyad Khalil khammas expressed his admiration for the college, its scientific and athletic status and the efforts made by its deanery that have contributed to upgrading and advancement, expressing his satisfaction with the existing work in its corridors for the purpose of developing and expanding it. This college aims at preparing instructors qualified to meet the needs of schools, educational institutions, clubs, sports centers and central federations of the Iraqi national Olympic committee and to participate effectively in women’s sports, creating opportunities for talented students, encouraging good manners, promoting national unity and sports to support everything that is healthy in the right of young people to thrive and participate actively. Also it believes in the importance of interaction and strengthening ties with our community and aims at organizing many training and athletic programs in various fields.
