Council of Al-Khwarizmi college of engineering discusses the possibility of opening evening classes in the college


The council of the college of engineering at the university of Baghdad held its second session of the academic year 2014-2015, headed by dean professor Dr. Muhammad Abd Atiya al-Sarraj and membership of heads of departments. Chairman of the council welcomed the attendance, wishing everyone good fortune and success to support the scientific,  administrative and technical march. The meeting discussed the possibility of opening the evening classes in the college, because of its importance in providing the opportunity for the largest possible number of students for admission in engineering specializations on condition that the rate of the student should not be less than five degrees in comparison with that at the morning classes, as well as the rate of admission should be up to 30% of the capacity of the morning classes and those who teach in the evening classes should have a doctorate. Also he directed the council to apply parallel education, as in other states, where the admission requirements are the same as in morning classes, except the condition of the rate that should not be less than one or two degrees. They discussed the details of the permitted uniforms colors and the university calendar for academic year 2014/2015, which begins on the 21th of September calling on departments to abide by and stressing on assigning two exams per semester as a minimum.
