The college of political science hosts the German Fredrcher Ebert Foundation

The college of political science at the university of Baghdad, director of Fredrcher Ebert foundation hosted Ms. Anaia Flershuck as part of the exchange of experiences to promote scientific cooperation and knowledge between the college and the foundation. She met the graduate students at the college to keep abreast of the latest researches and studies conducted by the students to keep pace with modern trends of curriculum and opening discussion and dialogue in order to enhance the scientific field. This foundation is humanities, nonprofit institution committed to the values ​​of social democracy that is one of the oldest political institutions in Germany, founded in 1925 as part of the legacy of the first German president elected in a democratic way. The aim of this institution is to contribute in international understanding and cooperation, promoting democracy and pluralistic political culture through political education to all segments of society to facilitate access to higher education for talented young people through scholarships. The foundation continues its goals to support the continued growth of the European union in more than 100 countries. In recent years, it gave increased interest towards global and regional issues, European integration, European neighbourhood policy, development of relations in Atlantic ocean and strengthening the system of global governance.  Also it supports collaborative efforts towards regional security, environmental sustainability, social progress. It participated in large-scale activities across the entire Middle East in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Sudan, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan and Yemen. Moreover, It is working with select partners in Libya, Syria, Iraq and Iran. It provided scholarships from its foundation till now by granting (2700) scholarship for bachelor and graduate studies.
