A research by Ph.D student from the university of Baghdad gains appreciation of an international conference in Philadelphia

The department of history at the faculty of arts participated in the 18th international conference of the faculties of arts and fine arts at the university of Philadelphia held under the slogan (development culture). The college participation was represented by PhD student, Maher Jabbar Mohammed Ali al- Khalili with a research entitled (the foundations adopted in the development of Malaysia and the factors for application them in some Arab countries) which is one of the topics of his thesis which has not been completed yet that is entitled ( Mahathir Mohamad and his role in the modernization of Malaysia 1970-1997). The research focused on the possibility of benefiting from the foundations of the Malaysian development in Iraq and Jordan as a model for Arab countries. The research received wide admiration and appreciation of the attending professors and scholars from Arab countries for the importance of the achievements achieved by Malaysia and the need to take advantage of them.  The researcher was selected as the representative of the Iraqi delegation in the committee charged with drafting the final statement of the conference and was honored with a certificate of appreciation in addition to publishing his research in the elevated journal of the international university. For its part, the deanery of the faculty of arts expressed  congratulations to the student and considered his success as an evidence of the correct approach followed by the college recently in supporting and motivating its students towards greater creativity.
