A student from the university of Baghdad gains M.A degree under the supervision of the president of the university of Dhi Qar

An M.A thesis by Hamid Salman Hameed who is one of the students of the department of mechatronics engineering at Al-khwarizmi college of engineering at the university of Baghdad entitled (wireless monitoring and control of the power generation stations) was discussed under the supervision of prof. Dr. Nabil Kadhim Abdul Sahib, the president of the university of Dhi Qar. This thesis dealt with remote monitoring and control of power plants to enhance and improve the power infrastructure in the country, to assess the performance of the power plants, to check the output voltage, viewing the temperature for all power plants, to reduce the number of workers and costs in management and maintenance as well as to predict failure before it occurs.  This study revealed that wireless networks have advantages of low -cost nature when compared with the traditional communication technologies used in electrical power systems and it designed and implemented remote control and monitoring via internet. The student got the degree of excellence after a scientific extensive discussion and the attendants wished that such researches would be for the sake of serving our democratic Iraq.
