The college of physical education at the university of Baghdad in Iraq participated in the world judo championship held in the city of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. The delegation was headed by Dr. Uday Tariq Hassan, head of the department of individual games, while the task of training the college team was entrusted to the coach, captain Ahmed Jassim, with the participation of the players: Ali Talib from the second stage in the college whose weight is 81 kg, and Kadhim Jawad whose weight is 60 kg. This college is representing Iraq in judo sports, which is one of the games that the college is teaching and training students in according to the latest scientific and global curricula by the most efficient professors who are specialized in this combat game. It is mentioned that  the college of physical education at the University of Baghdad is considered as one of the scientific colleges of  international credit through its upgrading in scientific and administrative level, and it looks forward to be pioneer in the field of the scientific research to serve the Iraqi, Arab and global society,  especially in preparing scientific and qualified cadres who are specialized in the field of physical education and sports science to contribute in upgrading of school sports and the community health as well as the preparing researchers in the field of sports science to improve the Iraqi sports movement at different levels .
