Strategies and development projects in the University Council
Reason and wisdom are what prevails university councils to make scientific and administrative decisions in the university which extends to more than a century of experience and reason, these experiences serve first and last human progress in the service of society, so the regular meetings carried out by University councils and their academic colleges and institutes to make the right and discreet decisions to support the education process and push it forward to rise to the highest and most prestigious levels in the world and not only in Iraq. At a blessed meeting of the University Council, held at the University headquarter Al-Jadirriya and all members of the Council under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Alaa’ Abdulhussein University President, Dr. Bahaa Toma Jiyad, administrative assistant, Dr. Alaa’ Mohammed Kareem scientific assistant and deans of colleges , institutes and scientific centers and assistant professor Dr. Bassem Al-Abdali Secretary University Council are attended , the Council addressed the most important issues that would raise the level of education. The Secretary of the University stated to the website team that the meeting discussed the plans of admission to graduate students of the next year, God willing, 2013-2014, to be according to the level that meets the actual need of the requirements of the market and the Iraqi society, and theissues of Graduate Studies in the provision of all equipments and developed laboratory devices, and updating the existing old science laboratories , also the theme of extending period of study of the students and urged them to complete their research according to the prescribed and identified period of the study, and try to reduce and minimize the extension requests of graduate studies, which overweigh the university. The meeting addressed plans for admission to the students of the undergraduate study and the evening study, and discussed the establishment of new scientific and humanity departments in the colleges and institutes for the next year, God willing, and provide all the supplies and materials from science laboratories ,equipments and materials and development galleries, and re-opening of the college of Planning has also been discussed and the development of Tourism and Hotel Management at the college of Administration and Economics, after tourism has been improved in Iraq, and the the urgent need for tourism and hospitality; preparations for the celebration of the university day , which will be, God willing, in April has been discussed also. Among the important issues discussed by the university council is the tremendous progress of the University’s website, which exceeds more than 18,000 international Universities, and the adoption of electronic correspondence, email via the Internet, in order to provide the services without any delay of time.The president of the university during a meeting of the Council stressed the need to expedite the provision of scientific atmosphere at the University and adopt the advanced and developed curricula and find ways to develop education objectively .The Website team has documented the council meeting with a set of photographs.
