Dean of the Center for Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at University of Baghdad received Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdul Hussein Abd Ali al-Askari, the representative of Nottingham Trent University, Britain in his office and the director of the Center of Architecture and World Architectural Heritage, Dr. Mohammed Jamal Abdul Moneim and Assist. Prof. Dr. Sabeih Lafta, an instructor at Wasit University and the expert in urban and architectural planning Ali Nuri Hassan and the corresponding delegation. al-Askari provided the guests with a brief overview of the history of the center since its foundation in 1971, its nature, activities, orientations and contributions it had made to the scientific and practical field at the local and national levels, especially in planning and development process, emphasizing on its leading role in all university formations to highlight the true face of our university in the service of society and State institutions. Dr. Abdul Moneim thanked the deanship of the British Nottingham Trent University for its distinguished role in highlighting the needs of Iraqi society and its physical and architectural heritage, in addition to reviewing the economic, political and security crises and the difficulties facing Iraq. It is worth mentioned that the delegation visited the president of University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Hussein Abdul Rasool in his office who confirmed during the meeting the continuous keenness and support of the university to open up and exchange experiences with various national and foreign academic institutions that may thereby contribute to the development of our competencies.
