President of Baghdad University receives Law college team , the first winner in Philip Gesb contest of the virtual court
Mr. President of Baghdad University professor Dr. Alaa’ Abdul Hussein Abdul Rasul received team of college of Law at the University of Baghdad,the winner of the first prize in the competition of Philip Gesb of virtual court of international law for the third year respectively,which is held in Erbil from 6-8 / 1/2013 supported by “Justice at affordable for all” Program of the U.S. Agency for International Development. Dean of the college of Law Prof. Dr. Jamal Ibrahim Abdul-Hussein al-Haidari headed the team and students (Duraid Walid, Ashraf Salman and Mays Adel Sadek from the fourth year and Adnan Hameed from the third year.
The President of the University mentioned the great accomplishment of the team especially it got first rank for the third year respectively, indicating the ability of students of the University of Baghdad in raising the name of the university in international fora in order to serve the educational and scientific process in Iraq in particular. (17) colleges of law from various Iraqi provinces have participatedin in the competition and the University team got the best oral award of the plaintiff and the best editorial note for the plaintiff.
The team may qualify to participate in the international competition of the virtual court of international law, which will be held in Washington and with the participation of (80) colleges of Law from various universities in the world.
