Faculty members of College of Engineering at Baghdad university get Patent
Prof. Dr. Riad Zuhair , Prof. Dr. Habib Rashid and Dr. Sana Abdul Razzaq from the Department of Water Resources Engineering at the college of Engineering got patent for the innovation and manufacture of ceramic water filters with high efficiency in water filtration and absorption of a number of heavy elements, as these ceramic filters have been manufactured from different mixtures of local raw materials by using several types of local clay and addition of a number of additives that improve the properties of absorption. These manufactured filters have been subjected to a series of physical chemical and hydraulic tests that proved its effectiveness and efficiency. Al-Faris company has offered investing this ingenuity to manufacture ceramic water filters and exploit them locally.
The Central Bureau had previously granted a certificate of industrial pattern of a cartridge of water purification produced by using ceramic filters material.
