Researchers Representing Universities of Baghdad , Kufa and Al-Nahrain Receive Approbation of the Audience Participated of the International Conference of Water Pollution in Britain
In cooperation of Senior professors from the University of Baghdad , Kufa ,and Al-Nahrain University to accomplish a joint research represented Iraq in the Conference of water pollution, which was held in Britain recently as they are invited by the Foundation (Wessex Institute of Technology) ,which its headquarter is in Britain, the Iraqi researchers Dr. Khaled Adel Abdul Razzaq of Baghdad University and Dr. Hussein Shakir Mahmoud, from the University of Kufa and Dr. Salah Abdul Hamid Saleh of Al-Nahrain University to deliver their search entitled (Remote sensing of water quality index for irrigation usability of Euphrates River ) .
The research was about the ability of satellite images captured by the satellite Landsat remote sensing index of water quality for irrigation purposes in different stations of the Euphrates River, and the researchers designed color model on satellite image enabled them to predict the power Euphrates for irrigation purposes at any point on the river and sobased on the rankings way of Bhargava index of water quality.The research has met the desirability of the attendance and has been published in the Journal of the conference .It is the fifth research published in the Journal of total (42) researches It is the only participant research in this conference and published in the Journal for researchers coming from Iraqi universities.
