Dr. Dhifaf jafar Sadiq and Dr. Omar Faleh Hassan from the department of petroleum engineering have participated recently in the Offshore Technology Conference 2020 in Houston, USA in coordination with the Society of Petroleum Engineers with a research paper entitled “Hydrate Equilibrium Model for Gas Mixtures Containing Methane, Nitrogen and Carbon Dioxide” in cooperation with a research team from Curtin University and Edith Cowan University (ECU) in Australia.

The researchers studied the use of matters related to oil and gas industry including a mathematical model to predict the conditions of the formation of Hydrate in tubes which causes significant technical problems, heavy financial losses and high cost of processors.
