Dr. Aida Bara Allawe, head of the microbiology branch at the college of veterinary medicine has participated in the proceedings of the international virtual conference of biotechnology research center at Al-Nahrain University in cooperation with the Egyptian Botanical Society held online under the slogan “Biotechnology: Life and Hope” with the participation of many representatives of Arab and foreign universities.

The lecture aimed to identify the composition of Coronavirus and the most important viruses of this family which affect animals and contributes to significant health losses. Dr. Aida Bara discussed the emergence and mechanism of transmission of this virus from animals to human beings, as well as the possible intermediate host in the transmission of infection to humans such as snakes or pangolins also she recommended ways to prevent infection.
