The department of astronomy and space, in collaboration with Ibn Sina E-Learning and Continuing Education Units at the college of science organized a virtual lecture via Google Meet service on “The solar physics and its impact on earth’s atmosphere” with the participation of professors and scholars from inside and outside the college.

The lecture which was delivered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Habeeb Hirz Alawi from the department of missions and cultural relations at the ministry of higher education and scientific research to introduce this topic which is one of the modern sciences at the present time, often called space physics also to shed light on the direct impact of fluctuations that occur with the nearest star to our planet, namely its physical characteristics and effects on the earth’s atmosphere such as the cycles and solar winds, solar storms as well as the atmosphere’s layers and how they are classified and how important they are to life.
