The use of uropygialectomy ( IRAQI METHOD ) to improve broiler performance
Summery
Uropygialectomy were carried out on broiler chicks at 1,2 and 3 weeks of age to evaluate the effect of surgical removal of uropygial gland on broiler performance . The data showed that treatment were significantly increased the markting live weight of broiler about 300 gm . The treatment also improved feed efficiency , dressing percent and production index for broiler chicks .
