The presidency of University of Baghdad held a workshop entitled (study courses) chaired by Associate Rector for scientific affairs Assistant Prof. Dr. Osama Fadel Abdul Latif with the participation of the director of the department of student affairs Prof. Dr. Uday Laibi. The workshop aimed to highlight the conditions and regulations of the courses system in the Iraqi universities set up by the department of studies, planning and follow-up at the ministry of higher education and scientific research as a global education system for the implementation of various programs that are based on study hours and not in quarterly or annual form previously scheduled. Prof. Dr. Osama Fadel stated that this system will give the students an opportunity to choose the courses they want to study in each semester. It is noteworthy that this system assists in selecting the right person for appropriate work in the light of his or her academic achievement and specialization, as well as to shorten the duration of the study without affecting the quality of education. This event was attended by a number of deans and their associates, as well as directors of registration departments.
