Presidency of University of Baghdad held an extensive workshop on the mechanism of implementing the State program of the ministry of higher education chaired by the University Rector Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Hussein Abdul Rasool and the participation of Associate Rector for scientific affairs Assist. Prof Dr. Osama Fadhil Abdul Latif, deans of colleges and officials of quality assurance and scientific promotions. The workshop aimed to highlight academic projects for the period (2018-2022) in order to guarantee the entry of our university in global rankings such as Shanghai Ranking for Academic Subjects via the application of international quality indices. During his opening speech, the rector confirmed that the university is seeking to be present in all international rankings like Shanghai Ranking, especially after entering in Times, QS and GREEN METRIC Rankings, noting the importance of the efforts exerted by Iraqi researchers who have published their papers in various academic repositories such as Scopus, Thomson Reuters and others. It is noteworthy that this program is extending up to 2022 and it includes more than 230 programs of which 85 projects are concerned with the ministry’s configurations.
