Prof. Dr. Aiad Abdul Rida Abdulla from the department of geography, college of education for humanities (Ibn Rushd participated in the 2nd international conference organized by the college of arts at Menoufia University and the Geographical and Cartographical Research Center under the slogan “sustainable development in Arab world between the possibilities and aspirations of the peoples” held in Egypt. Dr. Aiad Abdul Rida presented a paper entitled (spatial analysis of the human deprivation of infrastructure services in the city of Kufa) that addressed the disparity in distribution of services in Kufa which are considered as the basic requirements of the standard of living and their reflections on the quality of life. Also Dr. Aiad Abdul Rida held numerous meetings with reporters of satellite channels, notably Al-Iraqiya and Nile Channels, as well as a number of interviews with several Egyptian newspapers. It is noteworthy that more than 67 scholars and academics from various universities in Iraq have participated in this event.
