Unit of biological research of the hot areas at the college of science, University of Baghdad organized a lecture on “Genetic tree analysis”. The lecture shed light on the analysis of the application of genes in traditional genealogy which includes the use of DNA testing to determine the level and type of kinship relationships among individuals, as well as the development and analysis of species in organisms and the formal, bio-chemical common and symmetric features, DNA sequences and their evolutionary history based on existing species. The lecture addressed concepts such as evolution as one of the hereditary traits through successive generations and evolutionary relationships among different species or various living organisms that are believed to possess a common origin that represents a node with its branches where every node represents a time estimate.
