Assistant Prof. Dr. Jinan Abdul Amir Abbas, a professor at the department of geography, college of education for women, University of Baghdad participated in in the proceedings of the annual 24th United Nations summit on climate change (COP24.katowice) (UNFCCC) held in Poland with the participation of more than 190 countries and 2000 participants. The aim of the conference is to follow up the implementation of Paris agreement signed by 192 countries in 2015 to reduce and eliminate emissions by 2050 as well as reduce global warming and maintain that the earth heat should not to be more than 1.5 C degrees. Also many other topics were addressed such as how to reduce carbon ratio and transition to a clean green climate.
