Head of the department of Biochemistry at the college of medicine, University of Baghdad Prof. Dr. Hadaf Zafer Al-Yassin participated in the European Laboratories Conference of Molecular Biology held in Heidelberg, Federal Republic of Germany. She presented a paper entitled (Genetic association between human DNA double-strand break repair gene XRCC7npolymorphism with staging and development of bladder cancer among IRAQI patients) that discussed the impact of tobacco smoking on the genetic contrast present in repair genes of human DNA (XRCC7) in patients with bladder cancer and its impact on the progression and phase of this disease. It is worth mentioned that Dr. Hadaf Yassin attended all the scientific sessions and the presentations of the participating research from various countries of the world to keep abreast with the latest developments in the medical molecular field, stressing on the need to open prospects of scientific and research cooperation with the participants to improve the scientific level of medical research.
