Institute of laser for postgraduate studies at University of Baghdad organized a symposium on the use of laser in dentistry where the first lecture was delivered by Assistant Teacher Mohammed Aboud Kanber entitled (laser diod applications in dentistry) that dealt with how to sterilize root canal by the use of laser diod up to 1 mm compared to traditional sterility up to 0.1 mm. The second lecture was given by Assistant Prof. Dr. Lotfi Gholam Aouzili entitled (Medical laser applications) that shed light on the concept of laser and its use in medical applications, advantages as energy in surgical processes that may result into lack of pain, the lack of bleeding, the speed of operation and healing.
