Faculty of engineering holds its 7th scientific conference


Faculty of engineering at University of Baghdad held its seventh regional conference which is considered as the first international one entitled (modern trends in engineering and sustainability) aimed at providing and documenting modern valuable information to exchange of experience in the fields of engineering and technology to serve the progress of our scientific research since it is considered as the cornerstone of advancement and durability of development to provide the suitable climate for researchers and engineers in various sectors to contribute in theoretical and applied studies. The administrative agent of the ministry of higher education and scientific research, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abd Attia al-Saraj stated in his speech that the academic scientific institutions need a meaningful scientific dialogue that can be achieved through various methods such as theses specialized conferences since the international community takes a great care to the importance of sustainable development for its role in promoting the Iraqi economic prosperity and social wellbeing. Rector of University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Alaa  Abdul Hussein Abdul Rasool confirmed that the faculty of engineering plays a major role inside and outside Iraq since its founding despite our current circumstances and challenges experienced by our country to opens up new scientific horizons according to the ministry’s directives. Dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Saba Jabbar Neima shed light in her speech on the college quest and it is worth mentioned that this conference was attended by representatives of the three Presidencies and Associates Rector for scientific and administrative affairs and a number of deans of colleges, heads of departments and college students.
