Seminar on satellite orbits at the college of science 


Department of astronomy and space at the college of science, University of Baghdad held a seminar entitled (satellite orbits) that included two axes the first one was given by Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman Hussein Saleh on satellite orbits classification according to its height (low, medium, high) or tilt (equatorial and polar terrestrial and solar polar) or according to eccentricity, the duration of their sessions in relationship to each satellite’s age and mission. The second axis was given by Teacher Dr. Fouad Mahmmoud Abdul Allah on the types of satellites whether being astronomical, communications and navigation (GPS) or military ones. The seminar reached at a number of recommendations to make relevant researches as well as it called for open cooperation with the ministry of science and technology (Division of space and communication) in this regard.
