Ibn Al-Haitham College of education organizes a lecture on (Li-Fi)


Computer department at Ibn Al-Haitham College of education for pure science, University of Baghdad organized a lecture on (Li-Fi technology) where the Assistant teacher Ahmed Rafid Hashem stated that (Li-Fi) is an abbreviation for the term (Light Fidelity) which works with lighting or reliability on the light for data transmission which is one of the high speed optical wireless communications. This technology relies on visible light as a medium for data transfer instead of traditional Wi-Fi radio frequencies. This technique is safe and fast and it was invented by Harld Haas a professor of communications engineering at University of Edinburgh in Scotland and it was ranked as one of the best innovations for 2011 by Time magazine.
