Symposium on Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy at the college of nursing 

 
College of nursing at University of Baghdad organized a symposium entitled (Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy (HBOT) delivered by the instructor at the deparment of basic science, Assistant Prof. Dr. Zahid Jassim Mohammed. The symposium discussed the technique of (HBOT) as a medical therapeutic method that make use of highly elevated levels of Oxygen more than the atmospheric pressure and this type of treatment is classified as a hyperbaric medication where the patient is placed in a room named “hyperbaric chamber” with (100%) Oxygen and this chamber monitored by one staff member. This kind of therapy is used to treat cases such as carbon monoxide poisoning, gas gangrene, autism in children in addition to other diseases.
