Baghdad University Council resolutions – 20th session (2016)
Twentieth session
Directives of the president of University Council:
1. Directing the committee of scientific promotions to submit journals adoption to the department of scientific affairs for submission to the scientific committee according to contexts and standardization for approval in accordance with the decision of the University Council at the fourteenth meeting held on 14 April 2014.
2. Charge President Assistant for scientific affairs to introduce recommendations of published research in all university formations for use in the scientific and community domain.
3. Direct all university formations that the titles of scientific research should be clear and reflect the search content.
4. Directing the committee of scientific promotions to contact with research appraisers via email and then sending transactions for evaluation.
5. Direct all university formations that the higher diploma students should submit the titles and contents of their research at an appropriate period to not to delayed.
6. Direct the deans to change the curriculum when needed by a joint committee of the corresponding faculties and to be approved in accordance with the established contexts.
7. Charge President Assistant for scientific affairs to audit the universities whose faculty members work in discreet universities in terms of rankings and sobriety since this would be reflected on their scientific level in accordance with established contexts.
8. Preparation of the structural in all university formations and to be renewed annually based on the need for functional staffs.
The council considered a note by the central committee of scientific promotions, (68) dated 18/4/2016, on the recommendation of the committee taken in the 14th meeting held on 8/3/2016 and the notes (102, 108, 112, 113, 119, 120) on 8, 13, 14, 20/6/2016, about scientific upgrade transactions to professorship for the lecturers listed below and returned to the tenure Committee Central Scientific by League Council resolution adopted by the fifteenth meetings on 12/5/2014 and 15 held on 11/4/2016 and 17 in 9/5/2016, on upgrading the lecturers listed below to the professorship after completing the scientific upgrade requirements in terms of originality in their research and University Service:

After discussion, the council adopted this resolution:
1. Approve the upgrade of those listed above to professorship according to effective dates about their names for completing upgrade requirements in terms of originality in their research and service without any financial implications before the adoption of this resolution.
2. Congratulating those listed above for receiving the title of professorship.
3. Grant books of acknowledgments for professors listed in the sequences (3, 5, 6, 7, 8) for submitting at least five researches.
4. the committee of scientific promotions should submit the names of the professors listed in the sequences (3, 5, 6, 7, 8) for the purpose of publication for submitting at least five researches distinguished by originality in precise specialty.
The council considered the book issued by the student affairs and ratifications department, u/d/6440 on 26/6/2016, including the proposed dates for the graduation of the second phase students for the academic year (2015-2016), session (59) (with our students and popular crowd, we protect and build Iraq) where the proposed dates are as follows:
1. Graduation date of the students of the second phase on 28/9/2016, whereas the date of last year was on 30/9/2015.
2. Graduation ceremony date on Thursday 29/9/2016 or Saturday 1/10/2016.
After discussion, the council adopted this resolution:
1. Adoption of the deadline for the graduation of the students of the second phase on 28/9/2016 for the academic year (2015-2016).
2. Adoption of the graduation ceremony date on 30/9/2016 for session (59) named (with our students and popular crowd, we protect and build Iraq).
