Baghdad University Council resolutions – 15th session (2016)

 

Fifteenth session

 

1. Insist on approving scientific promotion researches at departments’ councils and selecting the appropriate titles for them.

2. Directing the committee of central scientific promotions to insist of the subcommittees to adopt modern forms of scientific promotions to avoid mentioning ratings unstated in the form.

3. Directing all deans to follow instructions and updates that occur in terms of logos and naming categories in Presidency College and update information on their deployment

4 Directing all deaneries at all university formations to evaluate scientific journals, follow up the work and publish academic researches.

5. Providing the necessary prerequisites for final exams in terms of confidentiality questions, providing test books and save them in a safe place to avoid damage, fire accidents or theft.

6. Directing all deans at university formations to oversee exam committees and continue its work taking into account all matters relating to examinations especially in terms of diversification.

7. Name the halls that bear no name in a college or change their names while providing reasons and justifications for this.

8. Directing all deans at all university formations to prevent banquets in restaurants during the discussions of postgraduate students since this would cost them huge funds.

9. Commissioning the Associate President for scientific affairs to follow up the implementation of the plan of computer center in colleges and evaluation of the project through a questionnaire to find out what has been achieved.

1. Approve the upgrade selves listed above teachers professorship, effective dates installed about name them all for completing upgrade requirements in terms of originality in their research and service life of the University on any financial implications before the adoption of this campus.

2. Congratulating those listed above for receiving the title of professorship.

3. Granting books of acknowledgments for professors listed (2, 3 and 5) in the table above.

4. Committee of the central scientific promotions would submit the names of professors listed (2, 3 and 5) in table above for the purpose of publication after submitting (at least five researches) distinguished by originality in precise specialization.

 

The council considered two memoranda of the department of scientific affairs, No. u p/342, 344 29/3/2016, on the recommendation of the committee of mechanism of cooperation at the faculty of science that included approval of the following:

1. (Dr. Khalid Abdul Karim) an instructor at the faculty of science would be free for one day a week to work at Martyrs’ Foundation/office of the president of the foundation.

2. (Assis. Prof. Dr. Iyad Wajeeh Raouf) an instructor at the faculty of science would be free for one day a week to work at the ministry of health.

Based on the mechanism of cooperation, the ministry of higher education and scientific research with relevant ministries and non-related ministry (160) for 2009, after the debate, the council adopted this resolution:

 

Agree to the following:

1. (Dr. Khalid Abdul Karim) an instructor at the faculty of science would be free for one day a week to work at Martyrs’ Foundation/office of the president of the foundation.

2. (Assis. Prof. Dr. Iyad Wajeeh Raouf) an instructor at the faculty of science would be free for one day a week to work at the ministry of health.

 

Approving that Dr. Ahlam Dawood Mandob/Central Library is to be free for one day a week to work at the Center foe indexing and information systems at the library of scripts of the holy Abbasid shrine, based on the mechanism of cooperation of the formations of the ministry of higher education and scientific research with relevant ministries and non-related ministry (160) for 2009.

 

The council considered the books of the faculty of engineering No. q p/222, 231 22/3 and 3/4/2016 on its council recommendations during its seventeenth and fifth sessions dated 27/5 and 18-25/11/2015 that included the adoption of postgraduate students’ researches:

1. Doctoral student (Sarah Rasheed Ghaib)/Chemical engineering department with petroleum research and development center/Ministry of oil.

2. Master student (Fouad Alaa Yassin/Petroleum engineering oil research and development center/Ministry of oil.
