Market research center participates in a workshop to combat counterfeiting and forgery


A number of researchers of market research and consumer protection center at University of Baghdad participated in in the workshop entitled (Combating counterfeiting and forgery) under the slogan “consumer protection from counterfeit products is not an impossible mission but a daunting one) held by Unilever global company in collaboration with the Central Agency for standardization and quality control, ministry of planning, development cooperation forum, Baghdad Health Department at Rusafa and Karkh as well as the ministries of health and environment. During this workshop, counterfeiting and forgery were defined that is not applicable to international standards, its economic and social damage and it reviewed photos and movies concerning the forged tags and how to differentiate between the fake and the original products through letters, colors, printing style and form of packaging.
