His Excellency Ambassador of Brazil in Iraq visits the college of engineering
The college of engineering at University of Baghdad honored by a visit made by His Excellency, Ambassador of Brazil in Iraq within the cultural plan adopted by Brazilian embassy in light of future cooperation with universities, in particular with our university. The dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Saba Jabbar Neima al-Khafaji and her associates Dr. Wadood Tahir Mohammed Latif, associate dean for scientific affairs and postgraduate studies and assistant Prof. Dr. Kazem Rahim Arzij, associate dean for administrative and financial affairs and assistant Prof. Dr. Ayad Abdul Halim Abdul Razak, associate dean for student affairs. This meeting was attended by head of department of architecture, Dr. Ghada Musa Razuki, head of department of computer engineering, assistant Prof. Dr. Nadia Adnan Shiltagh and head of oil engineering department, assistant Dr. Nada Sabah Salman. The dean gave an overview of the faculty of engineering, its history, departments, divisions, centers and curricula. Associate deans shed light on graduate and postgraduate studies, the competitive exam, academic vocabulary and student projects and activities. The guest then proceeded to the college council hall to watch a documentary film about the college and the visit was concluded by providing the college’ shield and a number of its publications including the Journal of Engineering and Journal of Association of Arab Universities to His Excellency as well as the College Yearbook and proceedings of the International Conference on sustainable development. The guest promised to attend exhibitions in future and his desire to deliver a lecture on Brazilian architecture within further prospects for future cultural and scientific acquaintance between the two countries.
