Faculty of agriculture holds a workshop on the strategy of Knowledge systems and agricultural technology

 
Faculty of agriculture at University of Baghdad held a workshop attended by deans of colleges of agriculture in Iraq entitled “strategy for development of the role of colleges of agriculture in activating knowledge systems and agricultural technology towards the concept of the producing university: an indicative program”. This workshop witnessed the participation of professors outside Iraq with the attendance of Prof. Dr. Abdul Razak Abdul Jalil al-issa, Consultant of the ministry of higher education and scientific research. It addressed a lecture on the producing university, how to export knowledge, innovation, creativity, technological incubators and business management. The second lecture dealt with projects and innovations in the field of university technological incubators as well as comprehensive dialogues about how to activate the role of faculties of agriculture through the interaction of modernity with reality and how to solidify the concepts that support agricultural economy. The workshop discussed pilot projects and recruitment of academic expertise and competencies to develop concept of investment business for the purpose of contributing in the development of agricultural sector in our country. At the conclusion of the event, several recommendations were presented including: preparation of a development and an investment project, preparation and implementation of preparatory studies for agricultural and fisheries projects and work to contribute in pursuing administrative, legal and technical preparations for such projects.
