Lecture at the faculty of science on using plants for treatment of pollution

Department of biology at the faculty of science, Baghdad University organized a lecture delivered by the instructor and engineer Hisham Abd Manaf Atta entitled “using plants in treatment of pollution” (PHHYTOREMEDIATION) since this technique is less damaging to environment and less expensive than traditional methods. The bacteria that grow on the roots of the plants do the real job in digestion of polluted substances or heavy minerals through being surrounded by plant fiber. There are types of plants such as grass, reeds, bamboo, Lilies, yellow corn, Sorghum, willow and Poplar leaf depend in their growth on analyzing or removing the contaminated materials.
