Faculty of education (Ibn al-Haytham) organizes a lecture on environment
Department of biology at the faculty of education for pure sciences (Ibn al-Haytham), Baghdad University organized a symposium entitled “environment and biodiversity” in the presence of the dean, assistant Prof. Dr. Khalid Fahd Ali. The symposium was administrated by both Prof. Hussein Abdul Moneim, assistant Prof. Dr. Nawal Sadek Mahdi and it dealt with biodiversity, its importance for living organisms on the planet and its impact on human lives and also on its destruction of environment, ecosystem and biodiversity. The symposium called for preserving environment and its resources as well as advocacy to activate special laws for protecting environment and biodiversity through integrated plans in this direction as well as encouraging researchers in Iraqi universities and the ministries concerned. At the conclusion of the symposium, open discussion was opened for offering solutions and recommendations were given in this regard and certificates of appreciation were distributed among the participants by the dean wishing them progress in their scientific and practical life.
