A number of professors at the department of petroleum engineering at the faculty of engineering, University of Baghdad participated in the 1st monthly forum entitled “the national oil company and prospects of promoting petroleum industry” that was held by the center for petroleum research and development at the ministry of oil where the matter of restructuring the Iraqi national oil company which was merged with the ministry of oil at the end of the 1980s was discussed. His Excellency the minister of oil, MR. Adel Abdul Mahdi delivered the opening address followed by a presentation by Mr. Fayyad Naima, Senior Undersecretary who introduced the experiences of national oil companies in the world, as well as the Director General of the legal department at the ministry gave a lecture that shed some light on the legal aspects of reconstruction of that company.
